Tim Harris gave a presentation on the Capital and Stewardship Campaign

RSI, is a Christian based organization, has been hired by the parish to lead a capital campaign to construct a new community center which will be located south of the current facility. The goal is to raise $3.5 million for the construction of this 29,000 SF building. The building will be a gymnasium also. It will have 12 women’s and 8 men’s restrooms and hold 1,000 people for various church and school events. There will be 9 classrooms. There are six campaign leaders. On March 20, 2004, a DVD will be distributed at the church to everyone. On March 29, information packets will be distributed. There will be a stewardship talk at each mass during the first week of April and on April 17 and 18 there will be a poster festival where every child will get an award for their poster. On May 1 and 2 there will be a special event (to be announced at a later date). No one will ask for money during this campaign.

TREASURER’S REPORT – By Debbie Martin

The total available in the PTO account as of this date is $12,798.69
$3,658 profit was made on the Italian dinner. Last year’s total was $2,008. This was due to more donations, but mostly the higher cost of the dinner.

Tandi Turner gave a presentation to the board and guests regarding Red Apple. This is a fund raising opportunity for the school. They sell through catalogs; cookie dough, gift items, gift wrap, and candy. The gift-wrap is mostly 60 lb. weight. The profit on these items is 40%. She brought samples of the cookies, brownies, & gift wrap. Debbie will present the proposal to Mr. Neumeier.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT – Debbie Martin

1. There was a meeting today regarding the Spring Auction Dinner. They still need a chair for the men’s table. Rich Rodriguez will MC. The theme will be Starry Safari. The first advertisement will go out in next Tuesday’s packet. The cost this year will be $55.00 per person. Someone is also needed to coordinate the auction key raffle.

2. Tim Harris will return next month for an update on the Capital Campaign and Mrs. Cochran’s 7th Graders will give their power point presentation. In May, at the last PTO meeting, requests for additional funding will be considered.

3 Rollie will be the treasurer again next year. Debbie will be VP and is still searching for a President. Dan Kemble has generously agreed to coordinate the carnival raffle for us again.

NEW BUSINESS

Lisa Garver updated us on St. Anthony’s Grizzly Night. Orders are coming in after only one week.

Lisa also presented a proposal for Mornings with Moms & Dads. The school would provide Krispy Kreme donuts, orange juice, hot chocolate, etc. on two different mornings. This is an appreciation event for Moms and Dads. They would need approx. $350 to $400 for each morning.

Our next PTO Meeting will be on Wednesday, April 7th at 5:30.

Debbie led us in a closing prayer at 7:20
