2007 St. Anthony's Carnival

SAS Carnival - Our Parish/School Carnival was a tremendous success.  Parent and student volunteers began setting up for carnival events after school on Friday.  Dozens of parents scurried around to set up and prepare booths, construct tents, and put up decorations.  The entire weekend was a wonderful example of our Parish community working together for a common cause.   The best news of all is that our children are the benefactors of this hard work.  To each person who attended the carnival, worked on the carnival committee, donated items, entertained, baked a cake, sold raffle tickets, worked in a booth, or volunteered their time in any way, we extend a great BIG THANK YOU!  Your effort was truly amazing and we are truly a blessed school to have such a fantastic community.  Special thanks to our Carnival Coordinators Deb Martin and Kathi Woodward and their committee leaders.  Also, many thanks go to Stacy & Frank Roque for coordinating the fresh and beautiful Farmer’s Market; Carolyn and Dan Kemble for their fabulous effort in coordinating our record-breaking raffle sales; Carolyn Kemble and Kathryn McDougal for handling the huge job of Carnival Scrip; and Bruce Derry for organizing the set-up and clean-up.  An event of this magnitude could only have been possible with the dedication of help from the friends and families of St. Anthony’s.  You are truly the backbone of the school!  If anyone has any pictures of the fun, please send them to the school office marked with your name.

And the excitement continues as we list the winners from our famous Carnival. When we have an event where the Parish and school community come together such as this, we are all winners!  Thank you to all who participated in any way, shape or form to make this fundraiser the success that it was.  Success isn’t just measured in dollars but in the bonds that are formed when the community works together for the greater good.  This was a fine example of working together for a common cause—our students and community! The winners are: $2500 – Flo Hamilton; $200 winners – David McNamara, Collette Bolger, Lili Madrid, Ms. Victoria Lowe, and James & Linda Henricy; $100 winners - DiBuduo and DeFendis Insurance, Christopher & Shelly Quinn, Joey Schiff, Matt & Julie Diener, and Inez Diebert; various gift certificate winners – Adrienne Malayan, Tom Ferdinandi, Jerry & Karen Laval, Mrs. Zylka, Joe Sigert, Lori Rood, Carla Lippert, Herbert Fung, Mr. Ferdinand Romero, P & J Neumeier, Tony Caglia, M. Rocha, Mary Rees, Michele Durham, Mr. & Mrs. R. Peters, Fabiola Silva, Joseph & Shannen Menezes, Schmiederer Farms, and Dr. & Mrs. Mazzei.  Congratulations to everyone!
